Hello,
I pray you are all doing well. We are doing well and enjoying spring break We just got back from Philly and visiting all the historic sites. It was a fun day being reminded of the liberty that we enjoy and the freedom we have in the USA. "We the people" are blessed to have freedom to worship, freedom to home educate, freedom to pray, and freedom to read our bibles. While we were there we picked up a flag set of three flags one from China, one from Guatemala and one from the USA. We are blessed to be a family that is a true melting pot, a family of different skin tones, different hair color and different sizes and shapes but a family who are all united by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We would appreciate your prayers for us as we wait to have an approved home study. The paper chase never seems to end. Please join us in praying for us to find the immigration approval date from Christian's adoption. Tim and I are also heading to a 4 or 5 hour psychological exam tomorrow. It does not sound like fun, unless answering 585 questions sounds like an exciting Friday morning!! In case you have not heard the Duggars of the TV show 19 and Counting are considering adopting a child. How exciting to see the Bride of Christ even those with lots of children answering the call to rescue the widow and orphan. Here is a link to a blog that was super encouraging for anyone who may be considering adoption. May God continue to break our hearts for what breaks His. God bless you all. http://mylifeingodsgarden.com/2013/03/27/the-duggars-large-families-and-adoption/ In the grip of His grace, Dawn

Hello Friends and Family, This is Conner I just finished making a video about our adoption. I hope you enjoy watching it. Please tell us what you think in the comments. Thanks Conner Hello friends and family,
We praise God for guiding us in this process of rescuing an orphan. We know that God is in the business of adoption. Each one of us who is a Christian has been adopted into God’s family. I was reading this week during my devotions and I read : John 14:18 “I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.” If God promises not to leave us as spiritual orphans then I know that he desires that we not leave physical orphans in an orphanage without a mother and father. Even though we can’t rescue all the orphans in the world we can make a difference to “one”. Psalm 68:5-6 “He is a father to the fatherless.......God sets the solitary in a home.” We desire to bring a solitary orphan into our home because to whom much has been given much is required. God has given us so much it is our prayer to share that with an orphan. Please help us bring our son home from China. We are doing a campaign called CHANGE 4 CHINA where we are collecting loose change to help with our adoption expenses. We are giving out little blue pails to encourage you to save change for the adoption of our son. The costs to adopt from China range from $33,000 to $35,000. Each of the little blue pails holds about $5.00 in change or $10.00 in quarters. We pray that you would be willing to leave this change pail out and share our adoption Journey with those you meet. We know that God will provide what we need and we are thankful for the chance to allow you the opportunity to help us bring home this precious orphan boy. Every penny brings us closer to meeting him. Thank you in advance for your help in raising support as well as your prayers that God would prepare our hearts and the heart of our son. May God bless you all as you continue to seek to follow Jesus. In the grip of His grace, Dawn Hello sweet friends and family. We are excited to let you know that we are by faith moving forward with our adoption. We just put the file of a sweet little boy on hold while we wait to get some updated information. He just turned two and we would bring him home most likely sometime between March and May of next year. We are excited that God is directing our steps. Please join us in praying for him. He has a cerebral palsy diagnosis. He can walk with a limp and he most likely has low muscle tone in addition to possibly other medical problems. He is also absolutely adorable. We are are so excited that he may be the newest Haines. Please pray that God would make it clear if we are to be his forever parents. We are in the process of planning some fund raisers to help with the expense of this adoption. If you would like to partner with us in raising money that would be wonderful. We are confident that God will provide for all of our needs. Please pray for all of us as we continue to step out in faith. God Bless!
