We are beat! The flight was good and Wyatt even slept for 3 hours out of 14 hours...ha ha! We even slept 6 hours last night. Today (Saturday) we were gone for 12 hours touring the Great Wall, jade factory, pottery factory, rickshaw, acrobat show, and going to the Apple store and mall for dinner (good old Pizza Hut). All kidding aside it was a good day and Conner was super happy to see the Wall and the Apple store. Dawn and Conner climbed a very steep part of the Wall while the two gimps (Tim and Wyatt) waited for them at the bottom. We leave for Hudson's Province tomorrow afternoon by way of the Bullet Train. Please pray as we get ready to meet Hudson on Monday. Pray that he recognizes us from the photo album we sent him and that he would feel comfortable when he sees us for the first time. We will meet him in about than 36 hours. tons of photo updates at the link below

We are happy to announce that we will be leaving this Thursday to head to China. This is a miracle! We were waiting all day to get an email from Bethany telling us that they had received our travel invitation! One of our Bethany workers said that the DHL delivery has come as late as 4:45 in the day. Well 4:45 came and went and we began praying that they would receive the invitation first thing tomorrow morning. At 4:59pm we received the following message :
Travel invitation!! January 26, 2015 at 4:55 PM ~ Sue B. Overweg, Administrative Assistant It's 4:50 and your travel invitation just came - Hallelujah! I will request the appointment and we should know something in the morning! I will bring the package to UPS and you should have it before 10:30 a.m. tomorrow! Hopefully the weather won't get in the way! Sue Here is my reply! Thanks Beth for the reminder of God always being on time! God's faithfulness always astonishes me although I should not be surprised that God would go to heroic lengths to help us rescue an orphan after all Hosea 14:3 "In you the orphan finds mercy." Our sweet son Hudson Shaoyu Haines will be in our arms in only 6 days. We stand in awe over God's mercy. January 26, 2015 at 5:12 PM ~ William and Dawn Haines Praise be to God! We rejoice in his faithfulness. Our dear friend said "God is never late but never early either...He is right on time" If we had received this last week we would have spent more than $1,100 more in total for airfare...the rate went down! God is so so good. Thanks for letting us know. We look forward to hearing from you in the morning. May He be glorified!! In the grip of His grace, Dawn Here are some more of the recent photos of Hudson! We will do our very best to keep this blog updated throughout the trip. Please continue to pray for us to get our plane tickets and to be able to get on the plane in Newark NJ at 11:55 am on Thursday morning. Please pray for Tim, Conner, Wyatt and I to honor the Lord through this trip. Wyatt has been running a fever all day. This is his first illness since coming home. Pray for him to get better quickly. Thanks. I was just reminding our kids at dinner at how faithful and amazing God moved mountains in each of our adoption journeys. We went to church on a Sunday morning and brought home a 7 hour old baby girl (our darling Kayla age 21), only 9 months later we heard about a little boy on a Tuesday and only 2 days later we went to the hospital to pick up a sweet baby boy (4 1/2 pound Jared age 20). We prayed that God would allow us to hold Christian before he turned 9 months old. We held him at 8 months and signed the papers the next day on his 9 month birthday (we also found out I was pregnant with Juliana three days before we left to pick him up in Guatemala), We desired to go to China last year to pick up Wyatt in December so that we could travel with our sweet friends the Speers and God once again opened up the doors and rushed the whole process through and we traveled 3 months ahead of what was originally scheduled. WOW...God is amazing, faithful, mighty, and beyond comprehension. We serve a magnificent holy God and we glorify His name. We thank all of you for your willingness to pray for our family and we pray that your faith has been strengthened as a result of God's amazing parting of the Red Sea in our adoption journey.
